Why solar?

Better for the Environment

Solar power benefits the environment by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. It produces clean energy without pollution, improving air quality and reducing the ecological footprint. By harnessing the sun's renewable energy, solar power plays a vital role in combating climate change and preserving the planet for future generations

Cost Cutting

By generating free electricity from the sun, solar panels reduce reliance on grid power and lower energy bills. In the midst of a cost of living crisis, now more than ever, households producing their own, free, renewable energy, is vital. With net metering, excess energy can be sold back to the grid, generating additional income. Additionally, solar panels require minimal maintenance, resulting in long-term cost savings and a solid return on investment for homeowners and businesses alike.

Increased Home Value

A solar system adds value to your property by increasing it's appeal to environmentally conscious buyers and showcasing energy efficiency. Homes or businesses with solar panels offer reduced energy costs, potential tax incentives, and a sustainable investment. It enhances the property's marketability and demonstrates a commitment to a greener future.

Energy Independence

Solar panels provide energy independence by generating electricity on-site, reducing reliance on the grid. Homeowners and businesses can become self-sufficient, especially during power outages or grid disruptions. This autonomy grants peace of mind, financial stability, and the ability to have a reliable and sustainable power source.

How Solar Works

Solar energy works through a process known as the photovoltaic effect. Solar panels, typically made up of multiple photovoltaic cells, convert sunlight into usable electricity. Here's how it happens:

    1. Sunlight hits the solar panels: When sunlight reaches the solar panels, it consists of tiny particles of energy called photons.

    2. Photovoltaic cells capture sunlight: The photovoltaic cells within the solar panels are made of semiconducting materials, usually silicon. As the photons strike the cells, they transfer their energy to the electrons in the material.

    3. Creation of an electric current: The energized electrons are then set into motion, creating an electric current. This flow of electrons generates direct current (DC) electricity.

    4. Conversion with an inverter: Since most homes and businesses use alternating current (AC) electricity, an inverter is employed to convert the DC electricity from the solar panels into AC electricity compatible with the electrical system.

    5. Utilization of electricity: The AC electricity is then distributed throughout the property, powering appliances, lights, and other electrical devices.

    6. Excess electricity and net metering: If the solar panels generate more electricity than is needed, the excess can be fed back into the grid through a process called net metering. This allows homeowners or businesses to receive credits for the surplus electricity, offsetting their electricity costs during times of low solar generation, such as at night.

By harnessing the sun's energy and converting it into electricity, solar panels provide a sustainable and renewable source of power for various applications, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources and contributing to a greener future.

Paperwork & Agreement

Our consultants will take you through all the necessary documentation and contracts. This may include permits, interconnection agreements with the local authority, and any applicable paperwork for government incentives. These documents ensure compliance, outline responsibilities, and establish terms and conditions for the installation process and ongoing maintenance of the solar panel system.

Site Eligibility

An assessment is conducted by our solar panel installers to determine if a location is suitable for solar panel installation. It involves evaluating factors such as roof orientation, shading, structural integrity, and available space to ensure optimal placement and performance of the solar panels.

Installation & Permissions

Installation involves mounting the panels on the roof or using ground-mounted systems. Permissions may include obtaining permits from local authorities to comply with building codes and regulations. Permission may also involve securing any necessary approvals for the structural modifications required for installation and connecting the solar system to the electrical grid.

Utility Connection

Our helpful staff assist with the process of linking the solar panel system to the electrical grid. This involves coordinating with the local utility company to establish the necessary connections and agreements. It ensures that excess energy generated by the solar panels can be supplied to the grid and that electricity can be drawn from the grid when needed.

Solar On!

With the completion of the installation and the system going live, you are now ready to experience the benefits of your solar panel system. From this point forward, you can enjoy the freedom of generating your own clean energy, reducing your environmental impact, and taking control of your electricity bills. The reliable and sustainable power source provided by your solar panels will empower you to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle while enjoying the convenience and savings that come with it. Congratulations on your new solar panel system and the positive impact you are making for both yourself and the planet.
